ON CAMERA TECHNIQUE CLASS AT ACTORS LAUNCHPAD - New Students

I am teaching a class at Actor's Launchpad for three weeks in March/April 2017, focusing on-camera technique, script analysis and preparation.

I have been an acting coach for years, focusing on preparing actors for legit auditions and work for Film and Television. I have had many clients whom I coach ask me if I'll teach a class to continue studying when auditions and work are slow. I am thrilled to team up with Actors Launchpad to offer a class to give actors simple tools to give them a clear road map on how to prepare an audition or performance for camera and get them feeling confident about their work.

Classes will be on Saturday's:
March 25, 2017 - 11:00AM
April 01, 2017 - 11:00AM
April 08, 2017 - 11:00AM

Description of class:

Cormac Bluestone's class will examine preparation and technique for on camera auditions and jobs. The goal of the class is to take actors of any technique and background and give them simple tools to analyze scripts and execute consistent performances. The goal of the class is to have actors walk away with the necessary tools to prepare their work for auditions and jobs and to give them a broader understanding of the technical elements of performing in front of a camera.

Week 1: A walk through of script analysis and preparation: Examining common mistakes, synthesizing different techniques into basic script analysis and establishing a simple, common language to understand a scene.

Week 2: Application and breaking of bad habits: Working through material and developing a system where actors can check themselves on their own preparation.

Week 3: Pulling it all together: Using script analysis to make performance choices for camera and tools to prepare for different situations.
